For many of our clients, seeing cats and dogs in reception waiting for their laser session is not an unusual sight, however, when our new pet of the month comes in for his laser sessions, he may seem a bit out of the ordinary.
Yogi is a Meyer’s parrot who was rescued by one of our most beloved clients. He has arthritis in his legs and a badly deformed foot which has lead him to traumatise his feet. As well as this, he was extremely nervous and defensive when he was first adopted. However, with the care, love and dedication of his human mother, he has made great strides in learning to trust people. Yogi has been undergoing laser treatment at Cranbrook in order to heal the wounds on his feet. This takes a lot of trust from Yogi and patience from both his mother and our nurses who carry out his treatment – it has taken taken time, care and dedication from all involved. We are all so proud of Yogi for his bravery and we are in awe of his adopted human mother for her unceasing love and devotion to Yogi and all her pets.
